Le Pelican spreads its wings on Lake Annecy!

Le Pelican spreads its wings on Lake Annecy!

Already at the head of 5 hotels located in Annecy and La Clusaz, 2 luxury residences and 4 luxury chalets in La Clusaz, the Groupe PVG, always looking for new challenges, plans to open its new hotel in Annecy in June 2021!
Ideally located at the entrance to the old town of Annecy and facing the lake, this project is set up in Les Trésums, in the heart of the program "The Avant-Scène", imagined and designed by the French architect, Christian de Portzamparc
Erected in the old building of the hospital, now classified as historical heritage, it will be completed by an extension that will perfectly combine history and modernity.
The hotel aims at 4 stars, will deploy over more than 4,000 m² in order to accommodate 101 rooms and suites, 2 seminar rooms but also 1 restaurant with a large terrace whose view will offer an incredible panorama of the lake Annecy and the mountains.

The environment will occupy a prime place in this new project! Indeed, an innovative device will allow heating and geothermal air conditioning to be provided by a water loop created directly in the lake! A great first since it is the only water loop built in a lake in France. Eventually, it will also later feed other structures such as the pool Les Marquisats.
The hotel has a mission to educate its customers about energy consumption from their arrival in reception.
But the Groupe PVG doesn’t stop there in its fight for ecology by announcing joining the nonprofit organization 1% for the Planet and pledging to donate 1% of the turnover of its new hotel to approved environmental associations. The hotel becomes the first hotel member of the collective and hopes to open the way to other candidates.
On Tuesday, 5th November, 2019, Olivier Pollet-Villard, CEO Groupe PVG, Marc Oppenheim, General Manager Crédit Agricole Immobilier, Laurent Bennet, General Manager Credit Agricole des Savoie, Marie-Elisabeth Nicoleau, Architect, Cabinet 2Portzampac and Jean-Luc Rigaut, Mayor from Annecy, met at the Marquisats, on the ground of the future establishment for the inaugural and symbolic gesture of the fictitious connection of the water loop for "La Première Pierre"!
It was during this official event that the name of the new establishment of the Groupe PVG was revealed: LE PELICAN !
Marine and not lake bird, the choice of the name was made in reference to the representation of the Pelican which is at the top of the central body of the historic building.
The Pelican is carrying many symbols among which The Renaissance, which is that of this rehabilitated building, of generosity and love, just like the welcome that we will reserve for our future guests and of nature, the one that the Groupe PVG is working to preserve.
Decidedly, this future hotel is already aptly named!
